The State Education Equity Committee was formed in 2021 to strive toward ensuring equity in education for all children from birth through grade 12. Join the leaders of the three sub-committees focused on Student Learning, Learning Conditions and Elevating Educators as they share the goals of each sub-committee and the work that needs to be done so all Illinois students can succeed. Attendees will leave with ideas on how to implement strategies -- from inclusive discipline practices to culturally responsive instruction to recruiting and retaining diverse educators -- that lead to equitable learning environments, and how their commitment to equity can and will empower their equity journey.
