"Seeking the Superintendency” will provide current central office or building level administrators with key information about the process of stepping into a superintendent’s position. This year's session will also provide female school leaders the inspiration & encouragement for considering a move into the superintendency. Topics include work/life flow, family considerations, time management, self-care & the positive support to pursue career dreams & goals. Courtney Orzel from IASA, and Donna Leak, Superintendent of Sauk-Village 168 and Vice-Chair of ISBE, share their journey, challenges and successes. The search process, contract negotiation, job strategies and ethics are topics that will be addressed by veteran school leaders, Courtney Orzel, IASA, and Tom Leahy and Patricia Sullivan-Viniard both with IASB.
